The invention relates to a device for applying plant treatment agents, in particular for applying pesticides to trees.
Plant treatment products and pesticides are used in various ways, and it is always problematic that a large part of the applied agent remains unused because it does not reach the right place for its pest-fighting effect.
The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned available, which allows a targeted application of pesticides and pesticides.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a device having the features of claim 1.
Preferred and advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

An advantage of the device according to the invention is that it makes it possible to control pests at their hotbed and to prevent the further spreading of pests from the affected plant, in particular from the infested tree, to other plants, in particular trees.
For example, the device of the invention comprises an annular, open-sided, cuff which defines a cavity open to the trunk, for example the trunk of a tree, and sealed to the stem of the plant, e.g. a tree can be created.
The sealing can be done by using sealants, with mechanical fixation of the sleeve also being considered.
In one embodiment, the cuff is inflated. Thus, by inflating the cuff, a tight application of the cuff to a trunk can be achieved.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to use new treatment media which are suitable for controlling pests and / or hindering their spread.
When applying the device according to the invention, the use of non-toxic gases can also be considered.
In the context of the invention, it is also possible that the treatment agent is non-toxic and contains as active component primarily fungal spores, bacteria or other natural means that control pests (antagonists).

A device 1 according to the invention comprises an annular cuff 2 of flexible (elastic) material which is applied to a trunk 3 of a tree by laying it around the trunk 3. In order to make this easy, the annular body forming the cuff 2 is open at one point or a cuff 2 made of several parts is provided.
The cuff 2 has a concave, inner, the trunk 3 facing side, which limits a trunk 3 open toward the cavity 4 to the outside.
In the cavity 4 is introduced via a line 5, which is guided through the sleeve 2, a treatment agent.
In the exemplary embodiment, it is shown that the treatment agent is a gas, and is contained in a reservoir 6.

The valve 10 shown in Fig. 2 may also be arranged directly in the wall of the sleeve 2 forming the hollow, annular body. At this valve 10, a source of gas to be introduced into the cuff 2, for example an air pump, is connected when the cuff 2 is to be inflated.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, it is shown how the cuff 2 is formed as an inflatable, annular hollow body, in its inflated state with its annular surfaces 9 tightly against the outside of the trunk 3, leaving the cavity 4 free.

When the conduit 5, through which the treatment agent is supplied, is extended in the device according to the invention so that the free end of the conduit lies in the cavity 4 which is bounded outwardly by the collar 2, the free end of the conduit 5 can enter one of the Holes 8 are put in the bark and in the trunk 3 of the tree. Thus, treatment agent is introduced directly into the trunk 3 of the tree. If the device according to the invention has at least one line 5 with a free end lying inside the cavity 4, this can also be used without the free end of the line 5 being inserted into a hole 8 in the bark and in the trunk 3. In this case, the device is used as the previously explained for the embodiment of the device according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
